Data Week 2026
On 5-6 May 2026, Oslo, Norway hosted Data Week 2026, the spring gathering of the Big Data and Data Driven AI research and innovation community in Europe. Organised by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) in collaboration with IFE, NTNU, SINTEF, the Western Norway Research Institute, and supported by The Research Council of Norway, the event brought together key players shaping the future of data-driven innovation across the continent.
This year's theme, "Data Fjords: Unlocking AI for Industry and Society", placed the focus on the fundamental elements of Data Value creation, exploring how AI serves as a pivotal tool in unlocking data value, and why approaching data from an ecosystem perspective, through collaboration among multiple stakeholders, is essential for both research excellence and real-world impact.
Dr. Denia Kanellopoulou participated in the event, engaging in knowledge and experience exchange with the wider data and AI community. AI4IA’s involvement in the i-Spaces and the newly formed Data Lab communities is a commitment to support data value creation.
